GOLF AT ALERT LEVEL 3

Yes, Te Awamutu Golf Club will open for play at Alert Level 3. The most important principle here, is that we stay safe and stay physically distant from those outside our bubble, this includes our staff and members.

Golf can be played at Alert Level 3, but we must follow all government regulations around contact tracing.

Therefore, we will open under the following guidelines (in line with guidelines outlined on Golf NZ Website);

1   Te Awamutu Golf Club members only to play during Alert Level 3, by booking online, or phone during opening       hours.
2    To abide by government regulations around COVID, use the NZ COVID App, the QR Codes will be displayed at       the Club, or use Golf NZ App to check in.
3    Arrive 15 minutes before your tee time and be ready to play, practice green, driving range will be closed to       prevent mix and mingle, keep your 2m distance if waiting and leave the course immediately after play.
4    There is solo play only, or in your immediate bubble.
5    All club facilities will be closed – clubhouse, shop, changing rooms, driving range, and all toilets (including on       the course).
6    There will be no scorecards, scores will not be recorded during Alert Level 3.
7    No carts available for hire, if you use your own cart you must be the only occupant, or with someone from your       immediate bubble.
8    All pins/flagsticks will be removed and the cups will be slightly raised or upside down in the hole.
9    All bunker rakes will be removed, and any drinking fountains and on course toilets closed

Be kind to the staff who are there so you can play golf. Keep to rules at Alert Level 3. Let’s play golf and go home safely to our bubble.

Tee Bookings will open tonight.

Thank you for your help to make the transition go smoothly.

Kind Regards
Te Awamutu Management Committe & Staff
