GOLF AT ALERT LEVEL 3 UNTIL THURSDAY 14TH OCTOBER

 After the announcement today the Waikato will remain in Alert Level 3 until Thursday 14 October when a review will take place . Therefore the restrictions for Golf at Alert Level 3 are as follows;

5 Key Points; 
  • The course will open for play at Alert Level 3 for Te Awamutu GC members only.
  • We need to be patient
  • Stay safe and stay physically distant from those outside our bubble, this includes our staff and members.
  • We must follow all government regulations around contact tracing. 
  • You must book online or contact the Club to book a tee time. 

Therefore, we will open under the following guidelines (in line with guidelines outlined on Golf NZ Website);

  • Te Awamutu Golf Club members only to play during Alert Level 3, by booking online, or phone 07 871 5661 during opening hours or email info@teawamutugolf.co.nz. You must be booked in.
  • To abide by government regulations around COVID, use the NZ COVID App, the QR Codes will be displayed at the Club, or use Golf NZ App to check in.
  • Arrive 15 minutes before your tee time and be ready to play, practice green, driving range will be closed to prevent mix and mingle, keep your 2m distance if waiting and leave the course immediately after play.
  • There is solo play only, or in your immediate bubble, please keep your immediate bubble to a minimum of 3.
  • All club facilities will be closed – clubhouse, shop, changing rooms, driving range, and all toilets (including on the course).
  • There will be no scorecards, scores will not be recorded during Alert Level 3.
  • No carts available for hire, if you use your own cart you must be the only occupant, or with someone from your immediate bubble.
  • All pins/flagsticks will be removed and the cups will be slightly raised or upside down in the hole.
  • All bunker rakes will be removed, and any drinking fountains and on course toilets closed

 

Lets; 

  • Be kind to the staff who are there, so you can play golf. 
  • Keep to rules at Alert Level 3. 
  • Let’s play golf and go home safely to our bubble.
  • Keep good hygiene practices - wash your hands or sanitise

Tee Bookings are now open.

These restrictions are in place until Thursday 14 October and as long as we follow the rules or contribute to vaccination numbers the Waikato should move to Level 2 on Friday.
