WHATS HAPPENING ON THE COURSE?
 
Due to recent government update parts of the Waikato (including Te Awamutu Golf Club) are now in Alert Level 3
Step 2. This not only allows ‘normal golf’, but we can also open the club competitions as long as groups of no more than 25 congregate outdoors.
 
The Golf Committee have rescheduled some upcoming events as follows.
 
2021 Matchplay Club Champs:
Ladies have 2-3 rounds still to play and men 2 rounds before the final. All players involved will be contacted
via email and the new draw will be published on the Website/Instagram/Facebook.
 
Round 1 (W) 2 or 3 (M) to be played by 7th November
Round 2 (W) 3 or 4 (M) to be played by 14th November
Finals to be played Sunday 21st November
 
2021 Waikato Champion of Champions:
Due to Covid Alert Levels restrictions the 2021 Waikato Champion of Champions which was scheduled for November has been cancelled.
 
2021 Shootout
Shootout to be held on Saturday 4th December.
  
Those still wanting to put cards in for this, you need to advise the staff member prior to tee off that
you want this card to count in the shootout and provide the score at the end of
your round.
 
The Brendon McCone Memorial Tournament:
Regrettably due to the Covid Alerts Levels and restrictions in parts of the Waikato the long-awaited Brendon
McCone Memorial Tournament has been postponed until 2022.
 
Open Christmas Tournament:
A decision by the Golf Committee will be made (pending Covid alert levels) for the Christmas Open
Tournament due to be held 05th December.
  
Annual General Meeting/Morpeth Vase:
We have the AGM/Morpeth Vase to be held 12th December, the Golf Committee will let you know how this
will be held if still under restrictive alert levels.
